Brunch for Valentine's Day

As a parent sometimes alone time is not possible so you have to improvise so the little ones can be a part of the beautiful day. In a perfect world, your alone time with your significant other would be perfect but it is impossible when you have children calling your name all day. lol. So instead of getting frustrated incorporate your children into your plans.

Valentine's time is a day to show love to anybody in your life. It is not just a day for us moms, or wives while women, even doe I know most ppl will disagree and I understand that. Yet, I feel differently about this day. I wanted to show my kids and hubby a lovely Valentine’s Day this year. Every year my hubby and my kids show me great times but this time around I wanted everyone to feel special.

I decided to create a beautiful Valentine’s Day breakfast for my lovely family. It was presented on a beautiful brunch board with everyone's favorite breakfast items. Alongside some beautiful strawberry and blueberry parfaits with a cold glass pitcher of orange juice. Everything on this beautiful brunch board was made into or cut into heart shapes to keep up with the Valentine’s Day theme. I used a heart-shaped skillet, heart-shaped cookie cutter, and pancake mold to achieve this look. Seeing my family's faces was a priceless and amazing feeling. My babies loved all the heart-shaped food and I can’t wait to do it again.

There are so many different ways to have fun at home. You do not have to break the bank or try to keep up with the Jones (a.k.a the people on social media) to enjoy your life. Enjoy your life on your term (maybe on a little budget). lol Still on your terms. So many people go all out for this day (of course nothing is wrong with that) I just need moms to know you can do something simple and easy for your loved ones. Don’t forget Valentine's Day is all about love. Loving someone else by their love language, not yours. That's the Goal. Money will never compare.
